This is THE BEST seafood Arlington/DFW has to offer! Being from NOLA I know good seafood and Bayou Cat is Always Consistent in flavor and freshness. The service is always quick and the wait is never long even when the place is packed tight. It's always clean and there's always a vibe. 10 out of 10, definitely recommended

Called for a pick up order, it's my first time eating from this establishment, my family has dined here plenty of times especially for their lunch specials. The catfish was crispy and never got soggy - I like that it was clean and didn't have the river water taste. The fries were not good to any standard, however the hush puppies made up for it. I also got the frog legs which were plump and juicy, but there was no wow factor in the flavor. The turkey neck was good and had some flavor. Then the dessert was a chocolate cake that was moist and rich.

Hands down the #1 place in Dallas to get Crawfish during crawfish season! From the perfect price to the taste to the size and portion.(don't forget to ask for extra juice in the bag) I tried there other food recently and I have to say it was bomb 2. Staff is helpful and made me laugh. place during crawfish season is super crowded but during regular weekdays its not that busy. the place is flat screen tv's with a pretty good music selection playing in the background.

So my good friend wanted to go out for lunch and I let her pick. She's Cajun so of course she wanted crawfish. And this is her favorite restaurant. I know it's sacrilege, but I don't like crawfish. But I love po boys. They had shrimp Poboy that was perfection. The shrimp was perfectly cooked because I have a pet peeve about rubbery shrimp. But there was no worry about that here. They were tasty and soft and huge. I also need a little spice, so I got myself some Boudin. That was amazing with the fries that came with the sandwich. Definitely a perfect lunch. And apparently other people agree because Line was going out the door for hours so if you're going, beware. But I have to say I'd stand in line to wait to eat that again too. Totally worth the wait.

Food - Very tasty and fresh. Been here twice with different parties and everything tastes great. Catfish Po-boys, red beans and rice, etc. Pricing is decent and they do have lunch specials (which the po-boys aren't apart of). Po-boy with fries and a drink is around $16. It is a good portion size however. Service - It's quick and efficient. You order then wait for them to call your order once your food is ready. Kitchen and ordering staff seem on-point. No complaints here. Ambiance - Decent place, almost hole in the wall, which I like. Gets pretty busy during lunch which is a good sign. Overall, this place is good. Worth a try. Be wary of long lines.

The place is a must for crawfish. The lines will be long and the ambiance is not what people come here for. It's the seafood. Especially the crawfish. The staff is friendly. If you are getting anything fried or from the kitchen, the wait is usually long. The boil food is quicker because they are pulling from coolers and warming stations. It's BYOB. However, you can buy soft drinks (Big Shots)if desired, or Coke fountain drinks. The place has a Louisiana swag. At times, you can purchase King Cakes, pickled pig lips, pecan candy, and boudin is regular on the menu. A good hole in a wall is the best way to describe here with a powerful punch on the taste buds that keep seafood lovers coming back for more. They are closed on Sundays and stay open until 8:00 p.m. daily. Wednesdays the owner usually surprise their customers with hump day specials. Do yourself and try them out.

So the price of crawfish are coming down but their size are getting better. I personally like the size for today, big enough I don't have to scrape for the meat and not too large I might break mah nails along w mah skin They're fresh! They're juicy! They're yummilicious!!! The lunch special is just as special for $7.49z the menu said two pieces of catfish filet but they always give you xtra!

I wanted to try a new place for seafood and found Bayou Cat Restaurant. Thankfully, hubby and I were already in Arlington that day so it worked out perfect. I planned on picking up our food to go so I called ahead and placed our order. They are located in a big shopping center so parking wasn't a problem. This place is packed on the weekends which is always a good sign. Everything is cooked fresh to order. I ordered a shrimp dinner and my husband ordered a combo dinner which included oysters, shrimp and fish with hush puppies and fries. I also ordered a side of red beans and rice, potato salad and boudin. The potato salad and red beans are also made fresh daily and they don't serve day old potato salad. I wish there was a tad bit more seasoning on the shrimp and fish but it was still very good. The red beans and rice and potato salad are delicious. My only disappointment is the boudin. In my mind, I pictured it tasting like the boudin I grew up eating. If you have never tried boudin, you might like it. Again, I am basing this off of my personal preference. They have a variety of meals to choose from including a kids menu. I would definitely come back if I am in the area. The customer service is excellent and the food is fresh and their prices are reasonable.
